Without intending to insult anyone, only the people who live in the Mediterranean and who live the Mediterranean way of life, can give the most accurate answer to this question.
Why?
Because, it isn't just "a diet". It is a big part of that way of life.
There are an enormous number of diets on the market, most promising huge success in losing weight, whether in two, six weeks, three months or in a year. I've tried all of them. Nothing worked in the long run.
No matter how hard you try, those two, six weeks or a year eventually goes by. And then what?
Then one day I realized something... It's not about what you shouldn't eat. It's about what you should eat! YEAH! YOU SHOULD EAT!
You should drink some wine if it makes you feel better.
You should go out and enjoy yourself without feeling guilty the next day because you've had some extra calories!
The answer was so simple and right under my nose! I should never have looked any further!
And the food? So tasty and easy to prepare. That's the food my
grandma, my great grandma, and her grandma used to cook. And trust me,
they were not even close to being fat.
So simple, so healthy and natural, and so tasty!
So, what is a healthy diet?
Is it one that makes you miserable each time you break one of its strict rules?
For me - it isn't. So, where is the answer?
In moderation? YES.
Positive thinking? YES.
Optimism? YES.
